Archery
Whether you are fan of Robin Hood or The Lord of the Rings you know that archery is a sport of true marksmanship! Archery teaches precision and ephasizes safety. Through our JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) program children are able to improve their skills while moving up the achievement levels.
Arts and Crafts
Arts and Crafts includes lots of projects such as beads, leather, clay and plaster sculptures, candles, drawing, wood projects and of course a camp favorite...Lanyards! Whatever your interest you go home with something beautiful and creative!
Minibikes
Always a favorite among campers of all ages, the minibike program encourages and teaches safe riding skills and tons of fun. Campers learn on the 50cc bike and as they improve they are able to use our 80's. As with all of our activities we provide the necessary safety equipment, such as helmets, pads, gloves, etc. Bikers participate in timed races, obstacle courses, and some trail rides. The Junior Mechanic program teaches safety, technique and basic minibike maintenance.
Pool
Nothing cools like a dip in the pool! Campers usually spend at least one period at the pool when they are onsite. Whether they are taking a lesson, swimming laps, playing water volleyball or just having fun, our 30 x 60 pool offers a great place to refresh your energy! Each of our aquatic staff holds lifesaving certification in additon to their First Aid and CPR requirements.
Rock Climbing
Campers can hone their skills on our climbing wall before taking a trip to nearby Malibu Creek State Park. From beginning to advanced climbers, there are challenges. As at every Cottontail activity, instructors are fully qualified and safety certified.
Sports
Soccer, basketball, dodgeball, softball, ping pong, football, the list goes on and on. Our sports instructor works hard to encourage everyone to participate in their favorite sports activities. All equipment is provided - just bring your game face.
Tennis
Tennis instruction and play is offered at nearby Malibu Racquet Club. A tennis pro from the club, along with our own instructor offer lessons for the beginner to advanced. Tournament days and game days offer fun and a little competition.
